英語で読む事と、あらゆる角度からの解釈を集めた新鮮さ。
英語で読むと改めて意味が心に入ってくる事もあった。また、翻訳者の解説ではなく、言葉ごとに中国の武将や研究者たちの解釈を集めて、読者に理解させようとしている手法が新鮮だった。 これはひょっとして、十家註とか十一家註といわれている物の英訳でしょうか。曹操以外の中国語読みを知らないので、人名がアルファベットになった時に想像が出来ないのと、日本語の十家註とか十一家註を読んだことがないので、はっきりしません。
漢文を英語でよむのは変な感じ
曹操の注釈が読みたくて買いました。 邦訳孫子との最大の違いはその注釈にあるでしょう。邦訳孫子の註はあ くまで訓古的なもの、語句解釈のためのものです。いわば漢文で読むた めの注かと。一方英訳孫子は、文章の解釈であり、曹操をはじめとする 過去なされてきた注釈が記載されています。 なお、曹操はCAO CAO。他の人名もアルファベットだと良くわかりませ んでした。漢字じゃないと誰なんだかよくわかりませんね。

The quote usually thinks epeating the wo d is some so t of magic. p It is easy with hindsight and a close look at the futu e to dismiss Sun Tzu as his p actical tactical knowledge is of a time and place long gone. He spends a lot of time on the use of weapons and info mation gathe ing techniques of the time. This can e inte esting in a histo ical context; othe wise it is quite amusing. p Oh yes those g ains of t uth I mentioned, well they may sound like clichés ut they a e still via le. "Know you enemy and know you self". Othe s a e just p actical sense and statistical outcomes that you lea n in any milita y t aining. I could go th ough the list, ut again that is why you uy the ook. p Now just as you decide that the ook is outdated fo any p actical pu poses today we have a tille y and now stealth and p ecision, the eminde that "no two wa s a e alike" and "it is flexi ility that makes a diffe ence" is eing shown today to still e t ue. Even in today's wa s the e is a need fo good intelligence and deception. We put a lot of time and ene gy into Psy-Ops. Sun Tzu shows the advantage in specialized units and c ack t oops. p I have spent seve al yea s in the milita y and in usiness and can say this ook is a nice addition to histo y, othe wise of ve y little value to today's wo ld fo wa . p As a P oject Manage I can tell you that this ook has little value to today's usiness.
