I say that only ecause a mi o shows us ou cu ent eflection, and as we change th oughout ou life, the eflection changes with us. The eautiful and gentle exp essions Raine Ma ia Rilke w ites to F anz Kappus a e meant fo a young poet, ut thei magnitude and depth a e such that they could continue to e an endless sou ce of insight and wisdom as he continued to evolve as a poet. I'm ce tain that we can all see ou selves in these wonde ful wo ds, and we can also witness what we aspi e to e. p Even as Rilke admits that Jens Jaco sen, the w ite , and Auguste Rodin, the sculpto , taught him something of the depth and endu ing quality of c eativity, it is always to the poet's own pe sonal expe iences and inwa d impetus, that he continually points to as the t ue sou ce fo a t. Fo it may ve y well e that a poet is often inspi ed y these outwa d influences, it is still to those unique ideas and eautiful emotions that often emain on the edge of his own comp ehension that an a tist seeks to fully exp ess.
