高学歴、自分のキャリアだけを求めて突き進む若い女性弁護士が、あるつまづきをきっかけに家政婦として田舎のお金持ちのおうちで働き始めます。 最初はいやいやながらも、そこで新しい人と出会い、少しずつ新しい視点を取り入れていって…という話です。 話の展開としてはありふれていますが、美しいイギリスの田舎の生活が描かれていて（若干浮世離れしている感もありますが）読んでいるこちらの方も気持ちが癒されてきます。 さらっと読めて気持ちがいい本です。娯楽に、おすすめ。

Kinsella has nailed it this time. At least this is the fi st ook which the cha acte isnt an ai head. Samantha is someone who all woman can elate too. Someone who puts wo k in f ont of all he pe sonal life and when she makes a se ious mistake at wo k... he whole wo ld c ashed. And she egin to wonde what he whole life is all a out. 楽しく読ませてもらいました。 いやーハチャメチャですね ここまで好き勝手だとほんとびっくりです。 アメリカ人にはこんな人がけっこういるのかな 日本人的な感覚だとさっぱりわかりません（笑） こんなんだったらほんと人生楽しんだろうなあ（楽とかではなく） 読みやすく面白いんで、気軽な洋書を探してたらお勧めです。
和訳が待ちきれない人におすすめ
Shopaholicシリーズは１−３まで和訳で読んでいました。 &Siste は和訳が待ちきれず、初めて原書にチャレンジしたのですが、 英語が苦痛ではなかったです。英語が苦手なので自分でもシンジラレナイ。。。 おそらく - 一文が短い - 難しい言い回しや単語がない（ようにおもえる） - ベッキーの心理描写がわかりやすい(というよりは そろそろベッキーの行動パターンが読めるようになってきた？) という点からだろうとおもいます。 和訳を待っている方、チャレンジしてみてはいかがですか？
Fun to read, but unneeded continuation of series
Shopaholic & Siste , like all the p evious Shopaholic ooks was pu e pleasu e to flip the pages th ough although like Shopaholic Takes Manhatten, it was unneeded. Still, it was a wa m welcome fo the old cha acte s again. Becky B andon is still the same gi l she was f om the eginning... Only she has a half-siste , Jess, who appea s to e inte ested in nothing ut ocks, o de collies, wo king out, and compute s. And the wo st pa t of all---she hates shopping! Becky is ce tain they can still have fun and e f iends, ut Jess doesn't seem to feel the same way. Plus, all those souveni s f om the 10-month honeymoon with Luke---in pa ticula , that Angel ag that cost 2000 eu os is now getting he in t ou le with Luke in a way you'll find out once you ead the ook. :) As always, Becky is still mino ly immatu e which makes he delightfully elatea le, and many designe s a e mentioned which will e g eat fo anyone who likes pop cultu e inse ted in thei ooks. Ve y light, ve y fun, ve y chicklit, ve y Sophie Kinsella! Which is good. I would also ecommend eading--The Fates y Tino Geo giou. It was supe good.

10ヶ月に亘る新婚旅行から帰ると、周囲はいろいろと変化していますが、レベッカは相変わらず買い物中毒！ ベッキーの物欲には笑わせられたり、イライラさせられたりしました。言い訳も嘘も大量です。 ルークに内緒でクレジットカードをあんなところに隠すなんて…！ 大きな変化は姉がいたことと親友のスーズに別の友達が出来たこと。 スーズとはギクシャクしちゃうし、姉のジェスは買い物嫌いでベッキーとは正反対。 買い物中毒が様々な問題を引き起こしてるのに、いまいち分かっていないベッキー。両親よりベッキーのほうがセラピーが必要かも。 我が道を突っ走るベッキーには呆れるものの、人間関係には考えさせられるところもありシリーズに病み付きになります。次のShopaholic&Ba yも楽しみです。

相変わらず、わが道を進むレベッカです。 母である人たちがこれを読んだら、「こんなのありえない！」ともちろん思われることでしょう。でもいいんです。これは楽しむための本なのです。 楽しんでください。笑ってください。
どうなるの？？
Re eccaの波乱万丈な人生。今度は赤ちゃんを授かって、お母さんの気持ちいっぱいで色々なことに乗り越えるのかと思いきや、相変わらずの買い物ぐせは治らず。しかも、旦那B andonがもしかして、浮気!?毎日、毎日、夜更かししてまでも、面白い展開とドキドキの展開に吸い込まれました。今後の展開も気になる！
先輩ママとしては不安
「赤ちゃんには最高のものを、できるだけのことをしてあげなくちゃ！」 と言う割に、呼吸法から何から、実際的な出産・育児のことはまともに学ばず、妄想に駆り立てられたように買い物しまくっているBecky。相変わらずです。もう少し、ほんとうの意味で赤ちゃんのことが考えられないのかなあ。 おばあちゃんたちを狙ったベビーファッションカタログ、ベビーカー展示会、ベビー用品フェアなど、どこの国でも少子高齢化で、豪華なベビー用品に親やジジババがお金を遣わされているのは一緒なのねー、と思いましたが、当たり前のようにSuzeやBeckyが母乳育児を選んでいるのはアメリカとイギリスの違いなのかな？とも思いつつも感動しました（アメリカの小説で、母乳をあげている女性を「気持ち悪い」と女性たちが批難するシーンがあったので）。 今回の敵役（？）はなかなか手強いですが、相手が手強ければ手強いほど、Beckyを取り巻く家族や友人の素晴らしさが引き立ちます。 今後、BeckyとLuke、そしてBa yの生活がどうなっていくのか、楽しみです。
