とても役に立つ
自分の現在の状況は、それが良きにしろ悪しきにしろ、全て自分自身の考え方の結果だということが説得力のある文章で書かれています。 例えば自分の不幸な状況を他人や環境の責任にしたり、他人の幸福をねたんだりしてはいけないと、私たちは皆子供の頃から教えられてきましたが、それに釈然としていない人たちが読むととても、とてもためになると思います。キリスト教的な教え（あるいは道徳）が基本にあるようにおもいます。他のレビューにも書かれていますが、デール・カーネギーの「人を動かす」の大元のような本です。

The one sta has NOTHING to do with the content of this wonde ful pu lication, it goes without saying that anyone who has stum led upon the genius of Allen's maste piece knows full well that the t uth is what it is, i.e. this ook is su lime maste y. No, my one sta simply efe s to this DeVo ss imp int, this ve ita le 'mini- ook'. Sadly nowhe e on the page was it explained that this was a MINI ve sion, a pamphlet indeed. My advice, pay the ext a 2‾300 yen and get you self a 'p ope ' copy - one that will stand up in you ookshelf. Thank you.
格調高い英文による自己啓発本
他にペーパーバックも含め、同タイトルの本は多く出版されているが、私はハードカバーで古風な感じの表紙の本書が気に入った。 p 約100年前に書かれた自己啓発本の元祖といえる本書。言い回しは昔の英語で堅苦しいが、格調高い名文である。 p 本書を開くたびに何らかの心に響く著者のメッセージが感じられる。 p 僅か60ページしかない本書であるが、その持つ言葉の威力と存在感は他の本を圧倒するような感じを受ける。
事実上の自己啓発本の元祖
自己啓発(セルフヘルプ)本というジャンル自体は、カーネギーの「How to ～」ものによって始まりますが、そのカーネギーに大きな影響を与えたという意味で、この本は事実上の自己啓発本の元祖であるといえます。 p 「念じればかなう」的な考え方が全編にわたって展開されていて、落ち込んだ時などに読むと力が湧いてくる本です。ただ古い本だという事もあり、カーネギーの本に比べるとやっぱりちょっと英語が読みづらいかもしれません。そもそもタイトルのThinkethっていうのは、Thinksの古語ですしね。 p それから宗教色がやや強いのも日本人には受け入れづらいかもしれないです。 薄っぺらい成功法則を説いてないところは良いんですけどね。
