Bush is a maste at getting a ship to pe fo m unde all ci cumstances, ut has placed little emphasis on how to defeat the enemy. The ook opens with Ho n lowe as the newest and most junio lieutenant on the Renown, a B itish ship of wa a out to head off on a lengthy c uise to pa ts as not yet disclosed. Captain Sawye immediately egins accusing his lieutenants and midshipmen of conspi ing to unde mine his autho ity. At the same time, Captain Sawye cannot do enough fo his c ew, including ext a g og ations. Discipline is apidly diminishing. What’s a young lieutenant to do with a captain who isn’t getting the jo done? You will find the sto y fascinating if you imagine eing a newly appointed gene al manage of a small division in a company whe e the CEO is unning the fi m into the g ound. さすが世界的に有名な作品の朗読だけあって、 ストーリーは最高です。 海軍･歴史用語など聴きなれない言葉が多く、はじめは苦労するかもしれませんが、 すぐに物語にのめりこんでいくでしょう！ p なにより朗読者の演技力がすごい。 若々しい青年の声を出したかと思えば、老人のしわがれた声に早変わり。 それを聞いているだけでも結構楽しめますよ。
