英語訳聖書のグローバル・スタンダード
聖書は「本中の本」と形容される程、翻訳も内容は全て同じなのだが多種多様だ。日本では日本聖書協会から発行されている「新共同訳」という日本語訳が最も一般的であるが、同協会の発行している和英対照版は英訳に「Today's English Ve sion」が採用されている。しかし、この和英対照編集版にはローマ・カソリックが聖典と認めているApoc ypha-旧約聖書続編-が含まれている編集版はまだ無いのが現状らしい。このオックスフォード大学出版から発行されている聖書は、その点でカソリック信徒も安心して使える英訳に定評がある聖書。ハードカバーの装丁は、じっくり聖書の文章に親しむのに丁度善い。
